A Flintlock Blunderbuss by Hadley of London, Circa 1770. With two-stage brass barrel belled at the muzzle, engraved ‘LONDON’ and decorated with foliage at the breech, stamped with London proofs, foliate engraved steel tang, signed rounded border engraved lock, decorated with a spray of foliage at the tail, figured full-stock with brass mounts comprising vacant oval escutcheon, butt plate with foliate engraving to the tail, turned ramrod pipes and foliate engraved trigger guard with acanthus leaf finial. The blunderbuss retains its original steel ramrod with worm.
