An 1827 Pattern Customs Presentation Sword. With slightly curved single edged blade, double edged towards the point, etched with scrolls, foliage and fouled anchor, regulation gilt hilt incorporating a crowned fouled anchor, lion’s head pommel, wire bound fish skin grip, folding inner guard, in its original leather scabbard with engraved gilt mounts, two suspension rings. The chap is engraved: ‘This sword belonged to Neil Cameron Chief Officers, H.M. Coast Guard Service and was presented by Daniel Cameron to Stuart Hall Esq 1897’
