A Crisp Round-Framed Pocket Pistol by Calvert of Leeds, With round turn-off barrel engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle, beautifully engraved box-lock action fitted with sliding safety catch, signed on one side of the breech 'CALVERT' and 'LEEDS' on the other, stamped below with Birmingham proofs and gunmakers mark, actions decorated with stands of arms, bag shaped walnut butt cut with deep chequering and having an engraved silver escutcheon, trigger retains most of its original finish. A nice crisp example.

Shop at Leeds, Yorkshire. Made box lock flintlock pocket and coach pistols. Later cased pairs of percussion duelling pistols with loading equipment and single-action percussion revolvers.
