A Fine Percussion Pistol by Manton & Son, London. With sighted octagonal barrel, decorated with a band of engraving at the muzzle and at the breech. Fitted beneath with a swivel ramrod. London proofs. Foliate engraved breech with pierced platinum plug. Beautifully engraved box-lock action, decorated with bands of geometric design and scrolling foliage, the top of the frame excreted with a shield surrounded by foliage, signed within an oval to the left, fitted with a sliding safety, cock decorated en suite, deeply chequered walnut butt with engraved silver escutcheon, dated 1823.
