A Colt Model 1860 Army 1st Model Richards Conversion, No. 200529. With round sighted barrel, stamped ‘-ADDRESS COL. SAML. COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-‘ and fitted with an ejector rod to the right side. with six-shot cylinder engraved with the Naval battle scene, stamped ‘0529’ and modified and stamped with the Richards assembly number ‘356’. The pistol has matching serial numbers throughout, the frame is stamped, ‘Colts Patent’ brass trigger guard, steel back-strap with  back sight incorporated into the cylinder conversion. 


Notes:

Made c. 1871-78; total production of about 9000. Serial numbering in two ranges: One group which began at 1 and ran to approximately 8700, and another which was within the Model 1860 Army serial sequence from about 16700 - 200614.
