A Scarce 5†Colt Hartford Pocket Revolver, No. 179534 for 1859. With blued octagonal barrel, stamped ‘ADDRESS SAML COLT HARTFORD CT.’ with five-shot cylinder engraved with stage coach hold up scene and stamped ’179534’, the pistol has matching serial numbers throughout, the frame is stamped with patent dates and the calibre, silvered trigger guard and back-strap, with pin and notch hammer sight.

20,000 made. This is the rarest example as only 25% of production were made with the 5†barrel. The revolver retains 90% blue and colour case hardening, 30% of original silver, very fine screws. Mint bore.
