With round rifled barrel struck with numerous military markings and fitted with ladder rear sight, border engraved lock marked 1871 Enfield with crown and VR at tail, stock bearing Enfield stamp above ‘1’ in overall good clean condition, crack to left hand side of stock (see photographs) with brass furniture complete with butt trap containing original ramrod. A good example of a British Military Snider.
