A 54-Bore Flintlock Round-Framed Pistol by Hampson & Thelweis, Circa 1810. With round, blued, turn-off barrel, border engraved steel box-lock frame fitted with sliding safety catch that also locks the pan, decorated with stands of arms to the right and signed ‘HAMPSON & THELWEIS’ to the left, deeply chequered walnut butt with vacant white metal escutcheon, struck with Birmingham proofs.
