A 25-Bore Percussion Coastguard Pistol, dated 1849. With round sighted barrel, retaining original blacking and heavily stamped with London proofs and military marks, flat lock with ‘VR’ crowned and ’TOWER 1849’ retaining a large amount of original colour figured full stock stamped with numerous inspection marks and stock makers marks, regulation brass mounts including ovoid butt cap with lanyard ring, heavily stamped belt hook and stirrup ramrod with inspection marks. A lovely military pistol retaining nearly all of its original finish.
