A 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Trooper's Sword by T & J. Gill. With plain curved blade, cut with a large fuller along the back edge with hatchet point, stamped along the back edge with the blade smiths name 'TJ & J GILL', steel stirrup hilt with leather covered wooden grip, (wire missing)contained in its original steel scabbard with two suspension rings. 



Thomas jr & James Jr Gill (Sons of Thomas Gill Sr.) 83 St James St, London 1801-1816. James Gill (Jr.) died in 1808, Thomas Gill (Jr.) died in 1826.
