A 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Officers Sabre. With curved etched blade, blued and gilt with scrolling foliage, stands of arms, crowned Royal Cypher, Royal Arms and mounted Cavalryman, (most of the blueing now gone but retaining most of the gilt), regulation steel stirrup hilt, with wire bound leather grip, in its steel scabbard.
