A Blue & Gilt 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Sword. With curved etched blade, blued and gilt with scrolling foliage, stands of arms, crowned Royal Cyphe rand engraved ‘WARRANTED’ on a scroll at the forte, regulation steel hilt with wire bound leather grip, in its steel scabbard with two suspension rings. The scabbard engraved with the retailers details: ‘Goldney Late Neild, St. James’s Street, Sword Cutler to his Royal Highness Prince of Wales’.
