A 16-Bore Flintlock 1756/81 Pattern Land Service 'Heavy Dragoon' Pistol, Circa 1790. With plain barrel and tang stamped with various military inspection marks and double stamped kings proof marks, rounded border engraved lock with 'GR' crowned and 'TOWER' across the tail, figured full stock (slither replaced near butt cap) with apron around the barrel tang and stamped with inspectors mark and Ordnance Storekeeper's marks dated 1786 behind the tail of the lock, regulation brass mounts, with brass tipped ramrod. 


The stamps on this pistol are among the crispest I have seen on any military pistol that has passed through my hands. Each part of the lock mechanism is cut with the makers number XVIII.
