A 16-Bore East India Government Pistol, built for the East India Government in 1871. The barrel is struck with Birmingham inspectors marks, walnut fullstock is struck with the Birmingham inspectors mark and the Birmingham E.I.G. storekeepers stamp. The lock is stamped Birmingham 1871 and with a crowned broad arrow above E.I.G. together with a Birmingham inspectors stamp. The pistol is fitted with regulation brass mounts, a swivel ramrod (pitted) and lanyard ring.
