With swamped barrel inscribed ‘Happy Is He That Escapeth Me’ around the muzzle and engraved ‘LONDON’ within a long engraved loop on the top flat, stamped with London proofs and barrelsmiths marks, groove foliate engraved tang, signed border engraved rounded lock with dog-catch holding the cock at half-cock, figured walnut full-stock (some chips and dents) with raised apron around the tang, cast and chased brass mounts comprising pierced foliate side-plate, vacant escutcheon with a flower head above and below, border engraved butt-plate with foliage on the heel tang, trigger guard with acorn finial and a flower head on the bow, turned ramrod pipes and original brass capped ramrod with iron worm.
