A Scarce Customs Officers Sowrd. With slightly curved pipe-backed single edged blade, etched with Customs coat of arms on both sides and ‘Salter Sword Cutler, 73 Strand London’. Gilt brass stirrup hilt with customs anchor in a wreath on both lancets, with stepped pommel, fish-skin grip, in its original leather covered scabbard with gilt brass mounts.
