An 1821 Pattern Militia Artillery Officers Sword. With slightly curved single edged blade cut with a long fuller running along the back-edge, etched with scrolling foliage, ‘MILITIA ARTILLERY’ around a flaming grenade and crowned ‘VR’ cypher, (etching rubbed) regulation steel hilt ,wire bound fish-skin grip (damaged at the top) in its original steel scabbard with two suspension rings.
