A Large Irish Flintlock Officers Pistol. With sighted swamped octagonal barrel, engraved ‘PATTISON DUBLIN’ along the top-flat, fitted below with a spring bayonet and an unusual side-mounted bayonet, with dingle gold line and gold touch hole, border engraved tang, fitted with a standing rear-sight and decorated with birds, border engraved lock, signed beneath the pan, cock decorated en suite, half-stocked walnut buttcut with chequering at the grip, engraved steel butt cap, border engraved trigger guard decorated with stands of arms, fitted with bayonet release catch. A scarce and unusual pistol.
