A Fine Pair of Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistols by Nicholson of London. With belled octagonal to round, three-stage barrels, fitted beneath with sprung bayonets, with stamped ‘DL’, barrels stamped with Irish registration marks, ‘GL-318’ and, ‘GL-319’ stamped with London proofs to the right side at the muzzle, border engraved box-lock actions, signed within ovals ‘NICHOLSON’ surrounded with stands of arms and, ‘LONDON’ within an oval also surrounded by stands of arms, fitted with sliding safety catches that also lock the pans, slab sided walnut butts, in stunning condition overall.
