A Flintlock Duelling Pistol by Hutchinson of Dublin. With slightly swamped, sighted octagonal barrel, decorated with an oval gold poincon stamped ‘HUTCHINSON DUBLIN’ decorated with a single gold line at the breech and gold lined touch hole, steel tang fitted with standing rear-sight, engraved with stands of arms and gold poincon at the tail, stepped bevelled lock inlaid with oval gold poincon, border engraved and signed ‘HUTCHINSON’ cock decorated with a spray of foliage, full-stocked in walnut with slab sided butt, silver shield shaped escutcheon engraved with the original owners initials and coat of arms, engraved steel butt cap and trigger guard, engraved with foliage on the bow (rubbed) and pineapple finial, horn tipped ramrod.
