An unsigned shinshinto katana, Edo period (19th century)

The shinogi-zukuri blade in old polish with a nagasa (cutting edge) of 63.5cm, muji hada and a midare hamon, copper hibaki with cat scratched design. The unsigned nakago (tang) with kiri (horizontal file marks) and a single mekugi-ana (peg hole). The Edo period koshirae with iron Kiku (chrysanthemum) form tsuba, plain iron fuchi-kashira and oar shaped menuki under its original binding. The Saya of black lacquer with an iron kojiri.
