A Very Good Percussion Howdah Pistol
A 22 Bore Percussion Howdah Pistol by Maybury, Circa 1840. With rebrowned twist sighted barrels, beautifully engraved breeches with platinum plugs, scroll engraved breech tang, signed case-hardened locks decorated with scroll engraving with hammers decorated en suite, highly figured walnut stock, deeply chequered butt with engraved steel mounts comprising blued trigger guard decorated with scrolling foliage and pineapple finial, case-hardened butt cap with circular trap, vacant silver escutcheon and silver barrel bolt escutcheons, with stirrup ramrod.
