A Flintlock Holster Pistol by W. Turvey, Circa 1730. With three-stage sighted round barrel, stamped with London proofs and Turvey own barrel smiths mark, border engraved tang, signed rounded lock, figured full-stock (invisible repair beneath the lock)with raised apron around the tang, lock and ramrod pipes, mounts comprising scrolling foliate side-plate, vacant foliate escutcheon, spurred pommel with grotesque mask butt-cap, faceted trigger guard with foliate finial, turned baluster ramrod-pipes and brass capped ramrod with iron worm.
