A Percussion Back-Action Rifle by Elwell of Birmingham. With re-browned sighted octagonal barrel, signed ‘Henry Elwell 44 Whitthall Street, Birmingham’. Fitted with rear sight towards the breech, case-hardened breech, foliate engraved tang, scroll engraved back-action lock (one screw replaced) half-stocked in walnut (some old repairs) with steel mounts throughout. A good rifle for shooting.
